This Privacy Policy explains what information SeeUHome Shorts ("the app") handles when you use it to write, produce, and publish personal finance Shorts to YouTube, and the choices you have.
Information the app handles
- Drafts and scripts — the Shorts you create (titles, scripts, scenes, captions, captions timing, music selection, and publishing schedule) are stored locally in your browser on this device.
- Generated media — AI-generated video clips and uploaded audio or video files are stored in private app storage. Clips are served only through short-lived, access-controlled playback links.
- YouTube channel connection — when you connect a channel, the app receives your Google account's channel identifiers and a Google-issued access and refresh token permitting YouTube uploads. Tokens are stored on the server side only and are never sent to or kept in your browser.
- Publishing records — when a Short is published, the app records the YouTube video ID, URL, privacy setting, and publish time so your library and history stay accurate.
AI-generated content
Script ideas, hooks, and scene prompts are generated through the app's AI service. Prompts you send are processed to produce the requested content and are not used to advertise to you. Do not include personal or confidential information in prompts you do not want processed.
YouTube access and publishing
- The app requests YouTube permissions only to upload Shorts and read basic channel information, using the scopes you approve on the Google consent screen.
- Uploads are made to the connected channel using the title, description, tags, and privacy setting you choose in the app.
- Disconnecting the channel on the Channel page removes the stored tokens from the app's server. You can also revoke the app's access at any time from your Google account permissions page.
What the app does not do
- We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.
- We do not send you marketing emails; the app does not collect email addresses.
- We do not read your YouTube data beyond what is needed to show the connected channel and upload your Shorts.
Data retention and deletion
- Drafts live in your browser until you delete them in the Library or clear your browser data.
- Generated media stays in private storage until you delete the Short or ask for its removal.
- YouTube tokens are kept only while the channel is connected and are deleted when you disconnect.
Children's privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
